You may acceed the van by two or three ramps, according needs. These are manual ramps, adapted to manual chair or scooter. Manufacturer: Transpdisc Original Ramps.
Ramps have double function:- Enable lifting, as well as descent of person with disability.
- Once the person is inside the van, these “specially designed ramps” also work as a kind of “ brake” that does not allow chair movement inside our van.
Their heavier weight than usual ramps, their specially chosen steel, and the presence of a special synthetic lawn carpet with high abrasiveness, placed on the vans’floor, enables us to prevent chair’s movement, by fixing same to the floor with the ramp across the chair’s wheels.
Two good reasons for using our non electronic ramps (multimountain design):- Our specially designed ramps are consequence of our adaptation to our country’s architectonic barriers: electronic ramps are not frequently comfortable, because our roads are not prepared for making an adapted descent from the van. Our streets are narrow, our streets have irregular floors, our sidewalks have great slopes, we have local characteristics which make electronic ramps non functional.
- You can stop the van anywhere, with independence of kind of floor, irregular or not.
We have the required expertise in travelling with motor disabled persons in our country.
Our units are specially equipped and prepared according to trip, so please leave your message of chosen excursion once you are decided to make your reservations. Don’t forget to tell us if you travel alone, or with a certain number of other persons. This information is required to provide you with our best available service. We need number of persons travelling with you in the van.
Our client may choose his travelling preferences: in frontal position, or lateral one. Wheelchairs will be also fixed by security belts in order to prevent frontal or backward as well as lateral movements. Disabled person will be provided too with seabelts for his chair. |
